Can you help me identify a flower I saw in my garden?

It has a pea-green stigma surrounded by a broken orange circle (I don't know what this part of a flower is called) and white oval petals numbering 8 I think.

Diameter of flower is about 3" and stems are between 12" and 16".

Sort of sounds like a daffodil but they usually have only 6 petals.
Reply:It might be some sort of mullen.
Reply:can you provide a picture? That'll help.
Reply:Nah, not a good enough description for me. Apart from anything else you have to say which country you're in.
Reply:sound like a fried egg plant
