A question on Buckeye trees. Does the flower part that blooms in the spring become the Buckeye?

Insects ate the flowers so I am assuming no Buckeyes. The tree is about 4 years old, stands at 6 ft high.

If the flowers were pollinated, they will become buckeyes. Chances are that they were pollinated before the bugs ate them.

Good luck with your buckeye tree.
