I just planted a balloon flower (platycodon grandiflorus). It only gets morning sun and, will it survive?

some say it need full sun, others say sun part shade. it is getting more shade than sun. should I leave it where its at or move it?

I grow mine (Platycodon grandiflorus apoyama 'Fairy Snow') where it gets only oblique light in the evening plus a few dapple patches through the canopy it grows under. I found the greatest problem is getting it past the slug depredation. I suggest slug rings or halos to protect it until established.

Reply:They never did real well for me, I live in the southeast, I think it is because of the high humidity.
Reply:We had one in part shade (zone 5) for several years and it survived but didn't thrive. This year it didn't come up.
